Bilbo's Battle to Survive (Against Himself??)...

Ever since I started reading this story I could visualize that Bilbo was a lazy, cake eating, and joyful kind of guy. But, once he ventured out of his comfort zone and embarked on this journey (to look for the stolen treasure of course) he let his hunger and longing for home get the best of him. He started for the hope of becoming more like a Took (adventurous) but after the first day he craved for his old life back. It is pathetic because he can't go half of a day without pondering about when and what he is going to demolish for his next meal. Almost ever time I open my book and read the next chapter it seems that he is not enjoying himself (scared for most of the time). Don't get me wrong, I mean, he is extraordinarily brave and all but I don't think he is acting to the full of his ability because of this. I think this is going to be excellent for him though, to roughen him up a wee bit and get him out of his natural habitat. I hope his emptiness (and longing for cottage/a nap) doesn't jeopardize him in the long run, or hinder his chances of stealing back the fortune.
This was a good conflict! Your title carries the day. I wanted you write using the word conflict, but since it is in your title, I see you know what you are talking about! Nice job! Good wondering what the future holds for him!
